My amazing little man. You came into this world 6 years ago today and changed our lives forever and for the better. With your arrival you brought the biggest bundle of love in the tiniest of little bodies. You made a rather loud entrance – an emergency c-section for which Daddy wasn’t allowed into the operating room and Mommy was knocked out completely. It was a terrifying beginning, one that moves me to tears if I ponder the “what ifs” too very much; but the rest, as they say, has been easy sailing. You bring happiness and smiles to all you meet; you are a friend to big and small. You have a giggle that melts my heart, and a smile that will change the world. At 6 you are reading, and doing math, and spelling, and telling me how many syllables there are in certain words and phrases. You astound us daily with new information you have gathered from a busy day at Kindergarten. You are busy and calm and quiet and loud. You whisper and yell and cry and laugh. You are what is good and perfect in this world.
